As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. As a team lead, you will deploy partners and delegate tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will be responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and best of all, you’ll be part of a company that is consistently rated as a great place to work and the people here love what they do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep store operations standard and set a positive example for the team.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate information to the manager for team response, ensuring a positive store environment.
  • Assist with new partner training, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance during shifts.
  • Recognize and communicate partner morale or performance issues to the store manager.
  • Create a positive learning environment with clear, timely, and respectful coaching.
  • Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and connecting with customers.
  • Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with the team.
  • Manage store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Follow operational policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety protocols.
  • Ensure proper cash management practices are followed.
  • Follow up with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Consistently provide quality beverages, whole beans, and food products, adhering to standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments using organizational tools and collaboration.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve shift excellence.
Experience & Skills
