Overview

As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team to deliver the Starbucks Experience, providing legendary customer service, maintaining quality beverages and products, and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment. This role involves modeling Starbucks' guiding principles and being part of a company recognized as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events, setting a positive example for the team.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and store manager to create a welcoming environment.
  • Assist in training new partners, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
  • Recognize and communicate partner morale or performance issues to management.
  • Offer clear, respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude.
  • Develop positive relationships with team members, understanding individual motivations and concerns.
  • Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follow Starbucks operational policies, including cash handling and safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper cash management practices are followed.
  • Coordinate with baristas during shifts to ensure excellent service.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Consistently provide quality beverages, food, and products according to standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments.
  • Use operational tools effectively to achieve shift goals.
Experience and Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Quick learner with effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
