Position Overview

As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team to deliver the Starbucks Experience by providing excellent customer service, maintaining product quality, and ensuring a clean, welcoming store environment. You will model Starbucks' guiding principles and be part of a company recognized as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events, ensuring store standards are met and setting a positive example for the team.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the manager to respond to store needs and create a welcoming environment.
  • Assist with training new partners, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
  • Recognize and communicate partner morale and performance issues.
  • Provide coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence and performance improvement.
  • Deliver legendary customer service, responding to customer needs and building positive relationships.
  • Organize opening and closing duties, follow safety and cash handling policies, and ensure proper cash management.
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality.
  • Ensure quality beverage and food product delivery, adhering to standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize team accomplishments and utilize organizational tools for motivation.
  • Use operational tools effectively to achieve shift goals.
Experience & Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Quick learner with effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail environment and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork-oriented mindset.
