As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will be a team lead, deploying partners and delegating tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, and you'll be part of a company that is consistently rated as a great place to work, where employees love what they do.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Evaluate environment and customers to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate information to the manager for team response to create the Third Place environment during each shift.
  • Assist with new partner training, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance during shift.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing morale or performance issues and communicating them to the manager.
  • Create a positive learning environment with clear, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback.
  • Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and connecting with customers.
  • Discover and respond to customer needs.
  • Develop positive relationships with the shift team, understanding and addressing individual motivations and concerns.
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Follow Starbucks policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety/security protocols.
  • Manage cash and ensure proper cash register practices.
  • Follow up with baristas to ensure delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Provide consistent quality beverages, food, and products, adhering to recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments and collaborate with the store manager on recognition methods.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve excellence during the shift.

  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant environments.
