About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Facility Services, the 3rd Class Power Engineer ensures the safe and efficient operation of hospital facilities by maintaining heating, air conditioning, power, and water generation systems. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining ventilation and air conditioning systems, logging safety and efficiency data, and assisting with building and equipment maintenance.

The engineer must adhere to legislation, standards, policies, and procedures, demonstrating professional judgment and initiative in line with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Certification as a Shift Operator Third Class or eligibility for Inter-Provincial Third Class Power Engineer Certification
  • At least five years of experience in plant operations
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and CSA standards
  • Reliable transportation for site travel
  • Ability to operate hand, power, and industrial tools
  • Language skills; French is an asset

Compensation and Benefits

$29.95 - $30.44 per hour. Successful candidates may qualify for benefits including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a pension plan.
