Job description

Under the general direction of the Manager, Slots, Gage and Guest Services, this position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the slots and Cage operation on a shift basis, while establishing and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

The role involves assisting with planning and directing slot operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, motivating and leading by example, and supporting a learning environment. The incumbent will also help develop performance objectives, deliver evaluations, and implement new slot operation initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
  • Schedule and supervise team members; manage timesheets for payroll
  • Resolve customer disputes; report irregularities, disputes, and suspicious activities; prepare CRS Incident Reports
  • Maintain slot inventories and supplies
  • Communicate effectively with all operational departments
  • Develop strong relationships with guests, ownership, and team members
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and statutory regulations
  • Manage other initiatives as required

Education and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or a suitable combination of education and experience is an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in slot or cage operations
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
  • Serving it Right Certification
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming License
  • Excellent communication skills to exceed customer expectations
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Work Environment Considerations

  • Work in a casino environment, standing for long periods, with non-traditional work hours
