About this opportunity :

The Shift Lead Coordinator of Field Accommodations is responsible for planning and executing the FA Business Plan, focusing on providing safe and comfortable accommodations that ensure quality food, shelter, technology, and recreation. The candidate will oversee process delivery within their managed area, liaise with the FA Manager on a 1-3 year business plan, and handle on-call duties 24 hours during shifts in emergency situations.

This is a full-time position with a shift of 11.43 hours per day, 7 days on, 7 days off.

Christina Lake offers full-service camp facilities. Transportation options, including bus and/or air, are available from designated locations depending on residence and shift rotation, with access via Calgary and Edmonton airports and bus routes from La Corey, AB, and Lac La Biche, AB.

What you’ll do :

  • Develop and oversee governance programs to address HSE and operational risks, including coordinating annual/monthly HSE events.
  • Coordinate with CVE project teams to provide camp solutions aligned with strategies for new work requiring field accommodations.
  • Support budget management, including annual FA Opex and project capital expenditures, budget building, PAR documentation, and WRE schedule alignment.
  • Assist in forecasting, feedback collection via QR codes, accruals, and budget monitoring.
  • Prepare for project management gate meetings with QA/QC roles involving cross-functional Decision Review Boards.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Management to ensure accountability with service providers and manage contracts and renewals.
  • Facilitate operations with CVE field teams to address SIMOPs and concurrent work hazards.
  • Maintain standardization within the FA Knowledge Management Framework, TORs, and action logs.
  • Engage with external partners for market intelligence to benchmark offerings and support planning.
  • Monitor compliance and delivery of FA infrastructure data concerning HSE, Building Envelope, and Critical systems.
  • Lead FA Meeting Architecture based on internal and external stakeholder mapping.
  • Collaborate with WRE Data analytics to ensure success indicators are accurate, schedules are maintained, and accountability is driven.

Who you are :

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • 8+ years supporting remote industrial operations.
  • Preferably 5+ years leading accommodation field teams.
  • Formal training in facility, hospitality management, or camp operations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for health, safety, and environmental standards in field camps.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, focusing on goals and objectives.
  • Proficient in project management frameworks.
  • Leadership skills to empower, mentor, and manage fluctuating workloads and priorities.

We consider transferable skills and may evaluate experience and education equivalencies. This role is safety sensitive; employment is contingent upon medical and drug/alcohol assessments. A valid Class 5 driver’s license, a clean driving record, and adherence to company policies are required, with a background check including a driver’s abstract.
