Commercial Cleaning Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor for a warehouse facility at 11884 Sunset Drive, St Thomas, ON. The supervisor will lead a team of janitorial staff to deliver exceptional results and coordinate daily operations.

The role runs Friday to Sunday, 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. Site address is 11884 Sunset Drive, St Thomas, ON. Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth are offered. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in the facility services industry in a leadership role
• Knowledge of best practices in cleaning industry including processes and environmentally sustainable products

Responsibilities

• Ensure client receives exceptional customer service through regular communication with onsite representatives and timely handling of service quality issues
• Prepare shift schedules and work assignments in accordance with contract requirements
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment by ensuring CCS employees follow safety policies
• Provide support with training of new employees
• Order supplies and manage a preventative maintenance program
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met
• Support with cleaning duties
• Manage communication with radio
• Other duties as reasonably required

As a site supervisor, your duties may include…

• Ensure that the client receives exceptional customer service through regular communication with onsite representatives, responding to service quality issues on a timely basis and promoting a service oriented culture
• Prepare shift schedules and work assignments in accordance with contract requirements, ensuring the efficient delivery of services
• Promote a healthy & safe work environment by ensuring that all CCS employees follow safe operating policies and procedures
• Provide support with the training of new employees
• Ordering of supplies, tools & equipment and management of a preventative maintenance program
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met
• Support with cleaning duties
• Manage communication with radio
• Other duties as reasonably required from time to time

What do I need?

• Minimum of two year’s experience working within the facility services industry in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of best practices in the cleaning industry including cleaning processes, environmentally sustainable products, tools, equipment and machinery
• Demonstrated people management, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to problem-solve and meet unforeseen demands
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use technology tools
• Police Background Check

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 40 pounds
• Stand and/or walk throughout the duration of the shift
• Able to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry, climb stairs
• Operate equipment when required
