Ruth & Naomi’s Mission is seeking a Shelter Manager for The Grove, our new older adults shelter, to support the shelter’s launch, oversee daily operations, onboard and train staff, and lead the intake of new participants.

What You’ll Do

· Assist with the successful launch of The Grove, including participant intake and shelter readiness.

· Onboard and train new staff and volunteers in alignment with organizational procedures and values.

· Manage daily shelter operations and ensure smooth coordination of schedules, routines, and participant programs.

· Create a supportive environment for older adult clients by modeling dignity, structure, and compassion.

· Work closely with internal programs and external partners to connect participants to long-term housing, healthcare, and support.

· Maintain staff coverage, monitor shelter occupancy, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

What You Bring

· Education & Experience: Post-secondary certificate in social services or equivalent experience required.

· Leadership: Minimum four years of supervisory experience in a social services or shelter setting.

· Training: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, WHMIS, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).

· Skills: Excellent organizational, crisis management, and leadership skills.

· Personal Attributes: A heart for serving older adults and a commitment to ethical, faith-based leadership.
