ATCO Structures in Calgary is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal/HVAC Journeyman or Apprentice to join our Manufacturing Plant. The role involves building modular units, fabricating sheet metal ducting, and installing HVAC systems.

Job description

ATCO Structures & Logistics is looking to hire a Sheet Metal/HVAC Journeyman / Apprentice (2nd, 3rd, 4th year) to join our Calgary Manufacturing Plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Building of modular units from rough in through to finishing
• Sheet metal ducting fabrication, assembly, and install
• Install bed units, furnaces, duct work, and Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning units (P-ACT)
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams and specifications to determine layouts
• Troubleshoot and test all HVAC units and equipment in modular units
• Perform quality inspections to ensure installations conform to specifications and building codes
• Use hand, power tools, and light metal‑working equipment to cut, drill, punch, bend and shape sheet metal
• Follow all safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Registered Sheet Metal/HVAC Journeyman or Registered Sheet Metal/HVAC 2nd, 3rd & 4th Year apprentice
• Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as materials
• Ability to work in a team environment
