Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Marketing & Events Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with our Marketing Director, Canada, to support various marketing initiatives and assist in the continued growth of our business. The role involves diving deep into market segment activities, collaborating across marketing, design, and sales teams to develop projects and tools for internal and external use, and driving marketing projects forward. Responsibilities include assisting in planning, development, and implementation of Canadian marketing activities such as communications, events, websites, and social media.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and contribute to our organization’s growth and success.

Ability to work in an office 3 days a week with after-hours events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing events across multiple brands (Patcraft, Shaw Contract, Philadelphia Commercial, Anderson Tuftex, COREtec & Shaw Floors).
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts align with overall business objectives.
  • Engage with internal and external customers to execute Canadian marketing projects.
  • Assist sales account managers with revenue-generating activities (presentations, case studies, questionnaires, images, physical palettes, support materials, lead qualification, branding, hosting events, email templates).
  • Create marketing content such as newsletters.
  • Manage workflow, schedule, and traffic of projects from concept to completion to ensure timelines are met.
  • Assist in measuring, tracking, and reporting on Canadian marketing projects.
  • Experience managing budgets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking and a passion for marketing and branding.
  • Strong team player with effective collaboration skills at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel 25-40% across Canada.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in French (written and verbal).
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (social media management, email marketing, website CMS).
  • Previous experience in marketing or event coordination is a plus.
  • Living in Toronto (GTA).
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent lifting of up to 25 kilos.
