KalSoft is currently looking for a SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Intranet Lead to come and join our Canadian team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting, configuring, and deploying SharePoint Online intranet solutions, with a proven track record in corporate intranet redevelopment, governance implementation, and user adoption strategies. This role will lead the redesign of a modern intranet, onboarding departments into compliant document repositories, implementing Microsoft Purview for governance, and driving user engagement through training and change management.Responsibilities:Design & Governance- Architect SharePoint intranet and departmental sites, defining governance, workflows, and security in alignment with compliance and accessibility standards
- Establish governance frameworks and workflows to ensure sustainable intranet usage and document management
Content Migration- Migrate content from legacy intranet, file shares, and existing SharePoint environments into new repositories with appropriate metadata and retention rules
- Conduct content audits and implement metadata-driven search and organization
Development- Configure intranet features including search, calendars, blogs, staff directories, and collaboration spaces
- Develop and automate workflows using the Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI)
Records Management- Implement Microsoft Purview for classification, retention, and data loss prevention
- Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory records management requirements
Training & Change Management- Develop user training materials, deliver sessions, and manage communications to support adoption
- Facilitate change management initiatives and encourage intranet engagement across departments
Support & Reporting- Provide post-launch support, resolve issues, and respond to enhancement requests
- Monitor engagement analytics, prepare reports, and recommend optimizations to improve user experience
Skills & Experience Required:- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator, Enterprise Administrator Expert, or Power Platform Developer
- 5–7 years of experience in SharePoint Online design, configuration, and administration
- Proven track record delivering corporate intranet projects in SharePoint Online
- Experience with Microsoft Purview for governance, retention, and compliance
- Strong background in information architecture, metadata design, and large-scale content migration
- Proficiency with Power Automate, PowerApps, and Power BI
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and mobile usability best practices
- Technical expertise in SharePoint Online site design, web parts, navigation, and M365 administration (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook integrations)
- Hands-on experience with migration tools such as ShareGate or Mover
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Ability to train and mentor both technical and non-technical users
