Job description

Arobas Personnel is looking for a SharePoint Administrator/Integrator for a contract with one of our clients located in Ottawa.

*100% Remote*

What we're looking for:

1. Technical Data (ITAR) clearance.
2. Knowledge of SharePoint 2016 and 2019.
3. Familiarity with ShareGate.

Responsibilities:

Discovery Phase:

1. Browse the SharePoint 2016 site collection.
2. Identify site owners.
3. Determine the last time the site was used.
4. Identify dependencies:
1. Custom solutions and features.
2. Workflows.
5. Determine the status of the site:
1. Pending discovery.
2. Ready to migrate.
3. Will not migrate.
4. Pending dependencies.
6. Suggest a new site URL and template.

Migration Phase:

1. Migrate the entire SharePoint 2016 site collection.
2. Using WorkflowGen, create a new SharePoint 2019 site collection (no sub-sites).
3. Migrate data from SharePoint 2016 to the new SharePoint 2019 site.
4. Update the modern home page to match the old SharePoint 2016 site’s home page.

Post-Migration Phase:

1. Add a message on the site informing users of the new site.
2. Set the SharePoint 2016 site collection to read-only.
