Role Description

The Shared Services - Staff Service Centre provides a single contact point for HR, finance, and IT inquiries. The Advisor will deliver personalized support to staff, offering guidance on processes and policies, and ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advice on HR and financial processes, escalating complex issues appropriately.
  2. Listen actively, understand stakeholder needs, and communicate empathetically.
  3. Utilize resources to prioritize and categorize interactions.
  4. Resolve inquiries with knowledge of university policies and escalate when necessary.
  5. Proactively anticipate and respond to staff needs with expert guidance.
  6. Collaborate with team members and share knowledge for continuous improvement.
  7. Document interactions accurately and manage requests efficiently.
  8. Ensure a high standard of service quality and client experience.
  9. Contribute to ongoing improvement projects and maintain knowledge bases.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma in a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in HR, finance, or administrative service delivery in a large, metrics-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Freshservice, Google Workspace, and PeopleSoft is an asset.
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort with technology and continuous learning.
  • Knowledge of university policies and programs is an asset.
