Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic English reading/writing skills.
• High School graduate or GED.
• Previous sewing machine experience preferred but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Push cart of panels to machine and follow Zone integrity.
• Remove panel from stack and position with flange under sewing machine foot.
• Check ticket for sizing and measure panel.
• Activate machine and sew flange to panel and overcast edge in one operation around perimeter of panel.
• Insert and sew in legal label and production ticket on every other panel. Mark ID on tickets.
• Add thread, roll of flange material, replace needles, oil machine, fix thread breaks and scrap as needed.
• Observe stitching to detect defects and repair accordingly and check panel before and after sewing for flaws in materials and stitching.
• Notify production supervisor when defects are caused by machine malfunction.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Stand at sewing machine, may walk as needed; lift up to 20lbs.
• Produce at level to maintain integrity of Make-To-Order System
