Ben-Mor Cables Inc. is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator to measure, cut, and sew nylon slings under supervision of the production supervisor. You will follow work orders, procedures, and deadlines in an on-site day shift in Barrie, Ontario.

The role requires good reading/writing, ability to read imperial and metric measurements, and use of measuring tools. You will participate in training and inventory, with opportunities for development in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a caliper or other measuring tools.
• Good manual dexterity.

Responsabilités

• Measure, cut, and sew various types of nylon slings.
• Install required accessories (labels, tags, etc.).
• Inspect slings before shipping.
• Participate in training new employees.
• Perform inventory.
• Maintain sewing machines.
• Carry out duties similar to General Laborer – Type A.
• Carry out any other tasks related to the position.

Your role

Under the supervision of the production supervisor, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and sewing nylon slings according to work orders, while following work procedures and deadlines.

Your responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and sew various types of nylon slings
• Install required accessories (labels, tags, etc.)
• Inspect slings before shipping
• Participate in training new employees
• Perform inventory
• Maintain sewing machines
• Perform the same duties as General Laborer – Type A
• Carry out any other tasks related to the position
