Job summary

Sewer Squad is seeking an Install Technician in Ajax, Ontario to replace and line residential sewer lines. You will work independently, communicate with customers, and perform liner installations and inspections.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and readiness to be on call during weekends/holidays. A supportive team culture, competitive pay, and growth opportunities are offered with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract (required).
• Prior industry experience is considered an asset.
• Basic understanding of PVC pipe installation and joint sealing with glue.
• Ability to read underground plans and specifications is an asset.
• Understanding of grade, slope elevations and operation of grade equipment is helpful.
• Capability to hand-dig trenches and grade accordingly.
• Great communicator who builds positive relationships with customers and the team.
• Hard-working, persistent problem-solver with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• On-call availability during weekends and holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Cutting pipe and lowering into trenches; perform manual labour as needed.
• Assist in aligning pipes during water main and sewer construction.
• Load and unload tools, materials and equipment.
• Operate industrial equipment and hand tools.
• Maintain truck and liner inventory; keep work area clean.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation.
• Join the on-call rotation as required.
• Fabricate liners to specification and protect customer property.
