Job summary

Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc is seeking a Swamper to maintain sewer and drainage infrastructure across the community. You will operate sewer flusher/vacuum trucks, perform line flushing and catch basin cleaning, and assist with hydro excavation as needed.

This full-time, permanent role requires a Class 3 driver's license with air brake end. You will work under the Public Works Foreman, with a focus on safety and compliance in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operates sewer flusher/vacuum trucks safely and efficiently.
• Performs sewer line flushing, cleaning and maintenance to prevent blockages.
• Cleans catch basins, manholes, culverts and drainage infrastructure.
• Assists with hydro excavation and utility locating as required.
• Conducts daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Completes logs, safety documentation and required paperwork.
• Maintains vehicles and equipment in good condition.
• Follows safety procedures at all times.
