The City of Regina is hiring a Skilled Labourer for Sewer & Drainage Operations. The role involves safe execution of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks for water distribution and sewer collection systems, reporting to a Coordinator or Crew Lead.

Ideal candidates have at least two years as semi-skilled labourers in related work, possess Level 1 Operator Certification (Level 2 within one year), and can work in confined spaces with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience as a semi-skilled labourer in water distribution or sewer collection operations.
• Must hold Level 1 Operator Certification; Level 2 within 1 year.
• Knowledge of methods, maintenance and operations in water/sewer construction.
• Experience in shored excavations up to 15 feet or more.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow instructions.

Responsabilités

• Perform skilled duties maintaining water distribution and sewer systems.
• Dig trenches by hand and with power tools.
• Direct equipment operators using hand signals.
• Supervise and train helper staff.
• Operate trucks assigned to Water and Sewer Operations.
• Complete reporting and documentation as required.
• Follow OH&S rules and City policies.
• Perform related work as needed.
