Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

  • Select and set up sewing equipment and peripherals, using tools like scissors, knives, fasteners, stiffeners, templates, and measuring devices.
  • Monitor machine operation, fixing attachments such as needles, threads, pattern plates, or cutting blades as needed.
  • Inspect finished products.
  • Keep records of processed orders.
  • Separate quality-passed garments.
  • Identify and set aside defective or lower-quality garments for correction or disposal.
  • Ensure textile parts are in correct sequences, matching color lots and patterns.

Competencies

  • Ability to operate sewing machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good organizational skills for sorting and cutting textile parts.
  • High hand dexterity for operating sewing machines.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative to complete tasks efficiently.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Noise levels can be loud.

Physical Demands:

Regularly lift and stack products weighing 5 to 65 pounds. Capable of sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, and walking for extended periods. Must work additional hours and up to seven days a week as needed. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, and focus adjustment.

Position Type/Hours:

Full-time, hours depend on shift.

Travel:

No travel required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma sufficient; manufacturing sewing experience beneficial.

Work Authorization:

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
