Job summary

The Hercules SLR Inc. distribution centre in Long Sault, ON is seeking a Sewer to join our Operations Team. You will manufacture and inspect web slings, working both independently and with others to ensure a quality product.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package including a $20–$22/hour wage, 5% RRSP matching after one year, full health and dental coverage, and a Monday–Friday 8–5 schedule. Training is provided and growth opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous sewing experience, preferably in industrial sewing.
• Knowledge of various sewing techniques.
• Able to safely lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures web sling / tie down assemblies to specifications.
• Makes customized assemblies by cutting, sewing, and folding.
• Meets planned shipping dates for customer orders.
• Responsible for quality assurance of all manufactured items from the webbing department.
• Meets all production standards / expectations and specified requirements.

Reporting to the supervisor, the Web Sling Sewer is responsible for handling, manufacturing, and inspecting of web slings before shipping. The Sewer is required to work both independently, and as a part of a team, to create a quality product.
