Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Settlements Services Associate to join our Operations team in Toronto. Reporting to the Team Lead and / or Operations Manager , this role involves trade settlements in various environments, buy-ins, and associated settlement and operational duties. The ideal candidate must work well in a team, be eager to learn, highly organized, committed to accuracy, and willing to cross-train and work in other areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate trade setup and confirmation within CDS / DTC systems.
  • Manage segregation and de-segregation processes as needed.
  • Handle buy-in extension requests and approvals.
  • Process account adjustments upon trade settlement.
  • Perform reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience in the Canadian securities industry preferred but not required.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CDS, DTCC, and Dataphile software is an asset.
