The University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach PLAN 343.3 (Legal Issues in Planning) during the Fall session. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree, extensive municipal planning experience, and a strong record in teaching and mentoring. This role emphasizes effective communication and a commitment to academic excellence.
The Department of Geography and Planning, College of Arts and Science, invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach the following course during the 2025-2026 Regular session:
Preference given to individuals with a proven record of effective teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Candidates should have extensive experience and professional practice in municipal planning, including knowledge of zoning, bylaw interpretation, land subdivision, conflict resolution, official plans, and land development, preferably within Saskatchewan. Experience with legal issues in land use planning is critical. The ideal candidate will be a practicing planner, a member of the Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute, and hold a master’s degree in a related field.
A valid driver’s license is required for off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be canceled due to low enrollment.
