Sessional Lecturer BUS 414 001 (Promotional Marketing Strategy) - Winter 2026
The Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach in person during the Winter 2026 semester.
Course: BUS 414 – Promotional Marketing Strategy
This course addresses the art of designing a strategic communications plan that integrates all aspects of the promotional mix. Advertising, public relations, digital media, word of mouth, direct marketing, and sales promotion are all part of the analysis and discussion. Creative messaging and media planning are explored to maximize effective and efficient use of company resources in reaching the intended target audience.
Winter semester class period: January 6, 2026 to April 13, 2026. Final exam period: April 16–29, 2026. Maximum enrollment: 48. A Teaching Assistant (TA) may be provided if requested and available; however, receiving a TA is not guaranteed and applicants should be prepared to teach without a TA.
Course modality: In-person on campus. Class times: Tuesdays, 7:00 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. 13 lectures in total. The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach on campus for each lecture, arrive 10–15 minutes before class start, and offer regular office hours for students each week.
Delivery expectations include: teaching course content that follows the course description and learning objectives, preparing the course outline, designing assignments, evaluating and grading, and submitting student grades on time.

Pay Grade: Faculty Sessional. Salary Range: As Per URFA Collective Agreement. Status: Term. Work Hours: This course is offered on Tuesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach on campus for each of the 13 lectures, be in the classroom 10–15 minutes before each class, and provide regular office hours for students each week.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and the work must be performed within Canada.
