Sessional Lecturer BUS 210 003 (Introduction to Marketing) - Winter 2026

The Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following in-person course during the Winter 2026 semester: BUS 210 – Introduction to Marketing. This course presents the fundamentals of marketing theory and application.

The Winter semester class period is from January 6, 2026 to April 13, 2026 with the final exam period running from April 16 to 29, 2026. Maximum enrollment for this course is 68 and a Teacher Assistant may be provided if requested and available.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing the course outline, designing relevant assignments, evaluating and grading student work, and submitting student grades on time;
  • Teaching course content that follows the course description, established learning objectives, and university academic guidelines;
  • Delivering 26 75-minute lectures throughout the semester;
  • Encouraging and maintaining a safe and collaborative classroom environment;
  • Providing regular support to students on course work as required before and after each class, during office hours, and as required by students;
  • Meeting all submission deadlines as outlined by the Hill School of Business;
  • Consulting with the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) on academic or student-related matters as needed;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate and/or PhD/doctorate degree in a discipline relevant to the course subject area (note that a bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant professional business experience may also be considered);
  • Chartered Marketer (CM) designation is an asset;
  • Superior communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with respect to academic reporting;
  • Recent teaching experience in a post-secondary environment considered an asset.
