  • Position Summary: SOC 213 is Families. This course introduces students to sociological perspectives on the family, with emphasis on issues of particular importance in contemporary Canadian society. Topics include social change impact on family relationships, changing definitions of family, children’s rights, fatherhood and motherhood concepts, and same-sex marriage.
  • Position Requirements: MA in Sociology
  • Work Hours: Mondays 13:00-15:45 in Swift Current, with remote sections; scheduled from January 6 to April 13, 2026.
  • Course Modality: Face to Face with Remote Sections
  • Additional Information: The class is scheduled for Mondays from 13:00-15:45 at Great Plains College, Swift Current. Students are expected to attend in person.
