Job description

Job Summary

The School of Health Studies within the Faculty of Health Sciences offers several nursing program options, presenting various exciting teaching opportunities.

The Faculty of Health Sciences provides quality educational programming with highly sought-after graduates. The School of Health Studies is situated on a technologically advanced campus at Canada Education Park, supporting innovation in teaching and the latest in simulation learning.

The School of Health Studies requires temporary/sessional faculty to teach in the following program areas:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing program: This program offers a four-year stream and a 2.5-year LPN Access to BSN stream. Part-time/sessional faculty are needed for clinical instruction in gerontology, medical-surgical, home health, mental health, public health, pediatrics, and child-bearing families. Candidates should hold a Baccalaureate degree in nursing with a strong clinical foundation; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Practical Nursing program: Requires part-time/sessional faculty for clinical instruction in gerontological, medical, and surgical practice settings. Candidates should hold a Baccalaureate degree in nursing with relevant clinical experience; diploma holders with extensive clinical practice may also be considered.
  3. Health Care Assistant program: Needs part-time/sessional faculty for instruction in gerontological practice settings. Candidates should hold a Baccalaureate degree in nursing with a strong clinical foundation; diploma holders with extensive clinical experience may also be considered.

Note: Current BCCNM registration in good standing, or eligibility for registration prior to starting, is required.
