DUTIES

The successful candidate will create and maintain a positive learning environment and deliver lectures in Astronomy. The successful candidate will also: provide and grade as required problem sets, quizzes, midterms and final exam and deal with academic integrity issues.

The workload is subject to enrollment and budgetary constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Ph.D. in astronomy or related field with experience teaching astronomy at a Canadian University, or M.Sc. in astronomy or related degree with extensive experience teaching astronomy at the secondary level at a Canadian University are required. Applicants must be documented to work in Canada. Applicants must be located in Kamloops and willing to teach evening course.

The successful candidate must be able to deliver content at the Kamloops Campus.

Pay Band

$2,575.50 - $2,575.50 ( Sessional Faculty - Academic (per credit) )
