Role: ServiceNow Technical Consultant
Location: 333 Dunsmuir St., Vancouver, BC V6B 5R4, Canada (onsite)
Duration: 3 months
Pay: $80-84 C2C
Role and Accountabilities
- We are seeking a skilled and proactive ServiceNow Technical Consultant with strong experience in Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR) modules within the ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) suite. The ideal candidate will be responsible for technical design, development, and implementation of SecOps solutions aligned with cybersecurity and IT risk management requirements.
- This role requires hands-on expertise in ServiceNow configuration, scripting, and integration, with a deep understanding of security processes and tools.
- Candidates will be experienced in leading ServiceNow engagements end to end.
In addition, the successful candidate(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Configure, develop, and support ServiceNow modules, including:
- Configure and implement ServiceNow Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR) modules according to client requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop custom workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and integrations within the SecOps suite.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Splunk, CrowdStrike, etc.
- Support data imports, API integrations, and automation for improved incident response and vulnerability remediation.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and tuning of implemented solutions.
- Create technical documentation, including design specs, configuration guides, and user manuals.
- Participate in user training and provide post-implementation support.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5+ years of ServiceNow design and development experience
- 5–7 years of overall experience with ServiceNow platform development and configuration
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow Security Operations, specifically Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response
- Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript, Glide), REST/SOAP APIs, and UI customization within ServiceNow
- Experience in integrating security tools and threat/vulnerability feeds with ServiceNow SecOps
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and security incident workflows
- Strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills
- Ability to work in agile and fast-paced environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
