The Solution Architect – APM & Service Mapping is a key member of the Service Management Tools team and is responsible for the overall design of the application and mapping client business requirements from the project team to systems/technical requirements. The Solution Architect works as a team member along with the Project Manager, Technical Architects and supporting team members to deliver the complete solution for the customer.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  1. Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign
  2. Provide architecture and technical direction for design and implementation
  3. Perform custom or OOTB demonstrations as required
  4. Provide subject matter expertise and industry best practices
  5. Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
  6. Co-team with other Technical Architects to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
  7. Participate and provide inputs to effort estimates
  8. Maintain current ServiceNow knowledge through self-study and utilization of available training

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  1. Self-motivated with a proven track record in ServiceNow technologies
  2. Organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  3. B.S. degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent preferred
  4. Advanced experience with ServiceNow APM and Service Mapping application/modules (including TRM and TPM)
  5. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow APM and Service Mapping configuration/implementation and custom development and scoped applications
  6. Hands-on experience with client-side development: UI Policies, Client Scripts, AJAX, etc.
  7. Hands-on experience with server-side development: Glide Server APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, etc.
  8. Strong presentation and communication skills
  9. Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs
  10. Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture
  11. 5-7 years of relevant experience in professional services or customer support operations
  12. 3-6 years of ServiceNow systems integration and/or implementation experience
  13. Proven solutions consulting experience
  14. Ability to work on multiple projects with varying complexity
  15. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to simplify complex solutions
  16. Good understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
  17. Must have ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD and APM and Service Mapping)
  18. Nice to have ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) experience
  19. Nice to have development & operation pipeline experience
  20. Nice to have business architecture experience
