Job Description:


We are seeking a motivated ServiceNow Junior System Administrator to join our Platform Support Squad. This role will focus on supporting the ServiceNow platform, managing mid-servers, integrations, and performing routine administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about delivering high-quality IT solutions.

What will you do?

  • Assist in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and Asset Management.
  • Support the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of ServiceNow mid-servers to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
  • Aid in the development, testing, and deployment of integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, JDBC, etc.).
  • Perform routine administrative tasks, including user account management, role assignments, and access control configurations.
  • Monitor platform performance, identify issues, and escalate complex problems to senior administrators or the Platform Administration Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Platform Support Squad to implement updates, patches, and platform upgrades while minimizing disruptions.
  • Document configurations, processes, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with IT standards.
  • Provide end-user support and training for ServiceNow functionalities as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow best practices, new features, and certifications to contribute to continuous platform improvement.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both written and oral form
  • Thorough attention to details, ability to multi-task, and effective time management skills
  • Working experience with ServiceNow preferred
  • A fundamental understanding of ITSM or ITIL
  • Developed problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Experience with process and workflow modeling and business process engineering
  • Must have the ability to work well with clients to determine implementation requirements and execute a plan to meet those requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Familiarity with access management (IE Active Directory roles and permissions or ServiceNow User table & Group table management)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
