SERVICE WRITER / ADVISOR

SUMMARY:

The Service Writer / Advisor will provide administrative support to the Service department, liaising with internal and external customers to ensure efficient department operations on a day-to-day basis.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Certification:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract
Experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Service Writer role or related administrative/customer service position
  • Experience preparing quotes and managing work orders
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Mechanical aptitude or exposure to heavy equipment is an asset
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage customer relations by receiving calls/emails and providing status updates
  • Open and close work orders following internal procedures
  • Prepare quotes and update work orders accurately
  • Provide unit history for repairs
  • Assist with shop scheduling and coordinate with factory representatives
  • Conduct shop walkthroughs for real-time status updates
  • Prepare payroll reports biweekly
  • Ensure customer accounts are in good standing and on-time billing
  • Maintain documentation and process warranty claims
  • Resolve customer concerns and assist parts department as needed
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
