The Service Technician is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and repair services for equipment and systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem solving and communication. The position covers the GTA area.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Service Technician team, your duties include:
- Analyzing circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, and replace electromechanical devices and systems.
- Dismantling, inspecting, and replacing electromechanical equipment and defective electrical and mechanical parts.
- Performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
- Installing and maintaining sanitizing equipment and plant facility’s equipment supplied by Sani-Marc.
- Performing routine preventative maintenance as per established PM programs.
- Providing value-added after-sales service and troubleshooting.
- Repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and implementing cleaning chemical systems in Food & Beverage plants.
- Traveling to customer locations.
- Supporting other departments through internal work.
- Diagnosing problems, determining corrective actions, and undertaking repairs.
- Managing service calls and assessing customer requirements.
Qualifications
To perform well, you should:
- Be proficient in electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
- Have experience in maintenance and/or maintaining food service equipment (preferred).
- Have experience in mobile onsite service (preferred).
- Work well in a team, demonstrate initiative, and be solutions-oriented.
- Possess good communication skills and be customer-focused.
- Be highly organized and understand processes thoroughly.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Be prepared to take a mechanical/electrical aptitude test during the initial interview.
