Job summary

Tridon Communications is seeking a Radio Communications Technician in Hinton, Alberta. You will join a team to install, service, and maintain advanced radio systems across the province. This role emphasizes safety, continuous learning and hands‑on experience with skilled professionals.

What You’ll Do

As a Service Technician, you’ll support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of communication systems that power Alberta’s industries. Working alongside experienced team members, you’ll learn to:

• Install and service communication and electronic equipment on vehicles and in field environments
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and programming of radio equipment
• Perform radio diagnostics and programming
• Provide customer service and troubleshooting support in person and over the phone
• Work with conventional, trunking, and P25 radio systems
• Use electrical schematics, hand tools, and test equipment safely and effectively
• Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 Canadian Driver’s License with a clean record (past 5 years)
• Able to provide a criminal record check
• Able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing as required for site access
• A 2-year Electronics Engineering Technology diploma or related education is an asset, but not required
• Willing to train and develop the right candidate while investing in the next generation of industry talent.
