Job Summary

The Service Technician – Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of building systems and equipment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs. This role focuses on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, supporting the overall functionality and safety of facilities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically skilled, and committed to maintaining high standards of operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs on building systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC issues to identify root causes and resolve them efficiently.
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and work orders from internal teams or clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
  • Assist with installation or replacement of equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure as needed.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and safety gear.
  • Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, or senior technicians on complex repairs or installations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification or vocational training preferred.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in facilities, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Working knowledge of one or more trades : HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or carpentry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, or wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA), tools, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for mobile technician roles).
  • Travel Expectation : Approximately 30%–50%
