Job summary

WASH in Toronto, Ontario, seeks a skilled service technician to install, repair and service laundry equipment and related products in client facilities across Canada and the USA. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship and strong customer relations.

You will diagnose issues, test equipment, maintain company vehicles, and support installers. A valid Natural Gas license or qualification, a valid driver's license, basic tools, and the ability to work weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Natural Gas License or Certificate of Qualification or be enrolled in a certified course to obtain one as approved by the province.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Basic electronic aptitude.
• Minimum 1 year of small chassis Washer/Dryer repair experience is an asset.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong technical, electrical and mechanical ability.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing, ventilation and electrical make-up air requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, repair and test laundry equipment and other products in client facilities to company standards.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers/clients.
• Manage and maintain company assets and expenses (vehicle, tools, parts).
• Assist installers when required and support on-site retrofits and overhauls.
• Complete vend adjustment and site inspection evaluations.

Estimated Salary: $27.00 to $31.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities.

What You'LL Do

• Maintain, diagnose, repair and test laundry equipment and other products supplied by the company in our laundry rooms or specific areas of a building to the company's level of quality and standards.
• Maintain professional/friendly relationships with customers/clients
• Maintain and be accountable for truck inventory (parts and specialty tools provided by the company) to able to complete work in a timely manner
• Maintain company vehicle in safe working condition
• Assist installers when required
• Knowledge of basic hand tools
• Backup a service territory/Installer
• Assist with on-site retrofit, equipment overhauls etc.
• Complete vend adjustment
• Site Inspection evaluations

What We Are Looking For

• Holds a valid Natural Gas License or Certificate of Qualification or be enrolled in a certified course to obtain a valid Natural Gas Certificate of Qualification as approved by the province.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract
• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude
• Basic electronic aptitude
• Minimum 1 year of small chassis Washer and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset
• Multi-load Wash and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset
• Self-Starter with proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong technical, electrical, and mechanical ability.
• Ability to diagnose, trouble-shoot and assess plumbing, ventilation, electrical, make-up air requirements etc.
• Great organizational skills, related to maintain assets, travel and prioritizing workload to gain the best impact on productivity.
• Manage and maintain Coinamatic assets and expenses i.e.: vehicle, phone/communication device (tablet), fax machine, parts, uniform etc.
• Team player who can work with all levels of the organization i.e. sales, administration
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Requires own basic tools
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends
