Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Field Heavy Equipment Technician for our Calgary Material Handling location.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of forklift-based equipment and attachments.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Efficiently evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy-duty equipment.
2. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
4. Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders.
5. Continuously assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
6. Utilize computer applications and information systems (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics.
7. Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts from parts personnel.
8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
