Duties:

The Opportunity:

As a Student Service Technician “A”, you will service Transit buses, equipment, and complete inspection reports. This role reports to the Supervisor, Leadhand Service Technician A with the following accountabilities:

  1. Performs major and minor interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles.
  2. Performs interior repairs, seat repairs, and upholstering on vehicles/equipment.
  3. Performs servicing of vehicles/equipment, including greasing, changing oil, inspecting, wheel torquing and cleaning, sandblasting, fueling, probing, and dumping fare boxes.
  4. Completes required documentation, records, and provides accurate data regarding all servicing repairs & conditions found.
  5. Responds to service calls relating to bus service issues as required.

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Grade 12 graduation.
  2. Experience in the servicing/operation of buses and equipment.
  3. Must have a mechanical aptitude.
  4. Must be capable of issuing and accurately comprehending written/oral information and instructions.
  5. Must possess and maintain a valid class “G” Driver Ontario Drivers Licence or equivalent.
  6. Must be enrolled in full or part-time post-secondary education and maintain status as a full or part-time post-secondary student.
