Job Summary: As a Service Technician, you will operate on-site to perform preventative maintenance, repair equipment, and install replacement parts related to RYKO, MacNeil, and competitor's vehicle wash equipment and accessories. The Service Technician will also train customers on basic equipment maintenance.

Job Duties:

1. Perform service work on vehicle wash equipment and accessories including troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems to ascertain the needed corrective action
2. Replace, repair, or adjust parts and systems as necessary
3. Inspect, lubricate, and check wax and detergent levels as applicable, in accordance with preventative maintenance contracts
4. Run equipment through 'cycles' to ensure proper functioning
5. Advise customers on necessary service work and recommend replacements for worn or damaged parts
6. Inspect equipment post-installation to ensure proper function
7. Provide training to customers on operation and maintenance of equipment
8. Develop and maintain good rapport with customers, striving to provide outstanding service
9. May deliver parts, chemicals, or supplies to customers
10. Complete work orders, expense reports, and time logs
11. Stay updated on equipment changes via manuals, service bulletins, videos, and engineering documents
12. Maintain inventory of parts on service vehicle and in warehouse, report inventory levels as required
13. Report significant problems or progress to Service and District Managers
14. Comply with all safety and regulatory laws and company policies
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Installation/Service Manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience as a Service Technician or in a related field
• Clean driving record with specific violations and accidents limitations
• Interest and aptitude in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work
• Ability to interpret manuals and instructions
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Forklift experience and/or certification preferred
• Customer-oriented with good communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Intermediate computer skills, familiar with Microsoft and Google Suite
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
• Must be local to Calgary, AB

Physical Requirements:

• Lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive motions, climb ladders, and stand for prolonged periods

Wage Range: $26-$33/hour based on experience.
