Job summary

Qualifications

  • Two-year Electronics Engineering Technology diploma or related education is an asset but not required.
  • Valid Class 5 Canadian Driver's License with a clean record.
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing for site access.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install and service communication and electronic equipment on vehicles and in field environments.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and programming of radio equipment.
  • Perform radio diagnostics and programming.
  • Provide customer service and troubleshooting support in person and over the phone.
  • Work with conventional, trunking, and P25 radio systems.

What You’ll Do

As a Service Technician, you’ll support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of communication systems that power Alberta’s industries. Working alongside experienced team members, you’ll learn to:

  • Install and service communication and electronic equipment on vehicles and in field environments
  • Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and programming of radio equipment
  • Perform radio diagnostics and programming
  • Provide customer service and troubleshooting support in person and over the phone
  • Work with conventional, trunking, and P25 radio systems
  • Use electrical schematics, hand tools, and test equipment safely and effectively
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning
What You Bring
