Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description: Are you a skilled technician with a passion for delivering top-notch service? Join our dynamic team as a Service Technician and become the face of our company at various client sites in the vibrant Ottawa area. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise by completing work orders, providing exceptional customer service, and traveling between sites to perform preventive maintenance and respond to urgent work orders. Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other systems.
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, building repairs, and grounds.
  • Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions affecting client operations.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Prepare and submit summary reports to management.
  • Familiarize yourself with equipment and methods for daily activities.
  • Drive a culture of excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and report safety hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with ordinances, codes, or laws.
  • Support after-hours building-related activities as required.
  • Attend periodic training.
  • Perform other operational tasks typical of the Mobile HVAC Technician role.

Essential Skills:

  • HVAC certification/313A license or Red Seal preferred.
  • Gas Technician 1 (G1) license (G2 accepted for the right candidates).
  • 10 years of work experience in HVAC technician/facilities services.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proven experience in customer service as part of technician work.
  • Experience with electrical, pneumatics, and construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
  • HVAC Certificate of Qualification is required.
  • Must meet security clearance requirements.
  • On-call duties and overtime as required.

Work Environment: Work will be performed at client sites, mostly in office buildings, some production facilities, or a mixture of multi-tenant buildings.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
