Job description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Enter, troubleshoot, teardown, repair, reassemble, test, and perform maintenance on Spider standard equipment and accessories with direction and oversight.
  2. Make service calls to demonstrate equipment and instruct customers in the correct and safe use of Spider equipment.
  3. Drive large company truck loaded with equipment to and from job site (DOT Certificate required).
  4. Perform complete safety inspections in accordance with the Rental Fleet Inspection Manual.
  5. Follow company procedures to ensure that all work-related records are accurate, updated in a timely manner, and conform to company standards.
  6. Always maintain a safe work environment and ensure safe practice work habits and quality standards are met.
  7. Manage all on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance and test tasks.
  8. Assist with safety demonstrations to customers including safe procedures, correct operating methods, required safety checks, and emergency procedures.
  9. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  10. Perform highly technical mechanical or diagnostic tests working under the direction of a supervisor.
  11. Provide service and customer support on-site and at job sites.
  12. Accurately record parts used and transferred.
  13. Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment.
  14. Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments to ensure that specifications are met.
  15. Perform shop labor as needed to maintain an orderly, safe, efficient work environment.
  16. Package parts and materials for shipping.
  17. Perform other duties as directed by superiors.


Qualifications

  1. Must be able to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
  2. Not afraid of heights.
  3. Able to perform a full shift of rigorous manual labor.
  4. Ability to work in construction areas at high elevations (up to 100 stories above ground).
  5. Able to successfully work independently to complete tasks and respond to requests as well as collaborate with others.
  6. Able to operate a forklift.
  7. Must be able to work safely and adhere to all Spider safety policies and procedures.
  8. Safety conscious.
  9. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  10. Detail-oriented.
  11. Dexterity.
  12. Logical thinking.
  13. Math and mechanical skills.

  18. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  19. Related electrical/mechanical training and/or one year of related Electro-Mechanical experience.
  20. Previous experience working in construction, service, and maintenance related experience.
  21. Mechanical Assembly: 1 year (required).
  22. Commercial valid driver’s license with clean driving history (required).
