The Field Service Technician is accountable for managing the ongoing service to Motive Power (Industrial) customers and ensuring the Motive Power Preventative Maintenance Programs are operating efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Completing battery & charger inspections, maintenance & reports
• Inspecting & performing minor repairs on battery cables, connectors & accessories
• Reporting on & recommending follow up for additional repairs
• Conducting pre-delivery inspections & installations of battery monitoring devices
• Installing, inspecting, repairing & testing watering systems
• Preparing batteries for transportation

Qualifications:

• Mechanical / electrical aptitude
• Previous experience in a technical or customer service-related role
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear explanations
• Solid customer service focus and experience creating a positive customer experience
• Ability to identify opportunities to advise / support the customer, upsell and cross-sell would be beneficial

Other Considerations:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
• Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move vehicle/industrial batteries.
• Background checks including criminal checks, driver’s abstract and employment references will be requested.
