Job summary

Liebherr Canada Ltd. seeks a Field Service Supervisor to oversee branch field service operations, supervise technicians, schedule work, and ensure excellent customer service.

You will plan, direct, and manage performance while maintaining strong safety standards and timely invoicing. The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience in heavy equipment and OEM exposure; strong leadership and customer-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years in supervisory or management roles.
  • Experience in heavy equipment industries; OEM experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and communication for Field Service Technicians to drive performance.
  • Oversee daily scheduling and planning to meet customer expectations.
  • Serve as front line contact for Field Service requests and issues.
  • Assist customers and technicians with technical issues by phone, email, or in person; escalate as needed.
  • Prepare service/repair quotes as required.
  • Build customer relationships and resolve issues or escalate to the Service Manager.
  • Open work orders and manage time sheets, reports, and parts requisitions.
  • Monitor and maximize WIP; ensure timely invoicing of field jobs.
  • Uphold safety rules and procedures; adhere to company policy.
  • Liaise with Parts for parts availability to complete jobs.

Job description

This position will oversee the Field Service operations for their assigned branch through the effective supervision and direction of the field service technicians. The Supervisor will determine methods and courses of action through efficient and effective planning, scheduling and performancemanagement to ensure that exemplary customer service is delivered.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong support and communication for designated Field Service Technicians to foster employee engagement, teamwork & top performance
  • Oversee the daily scheduling and planning of Field Service Technicians to ensure that the workforce is adequately assigned to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Serve as front line customer contact for Field Service requests, follow-up and service issues
  • Assist customers and Field Technicians with technical issues by phone, email and in person as needed (escalate to Technical Assistance as required)
  • Prepare service/repair quotes for customers as needed
  • Build customer relationships and resolve customer issues directly or elevate to Service Manager as required (visit customer sites as required)
  • Open work orders (including monthly No Charges) as required
  • Accurately review, approve and enter as required service reports, time sheets, work orders and parts requisitions
  • Monitor, review and maximize efforts to ensure appropriate levels of WIP on a daily basis and maintain timely closing/invoicing of all field jobs
  • Champion and maintain all safety rules and procedures
  • Liaise with Parts regarding parts ordering and availability to ensure timely completion of jobs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must have experience within the Heavy Equipment or related industry, Heavy Equipment License is preferred
  • 3+ years Supervisory or Management experience is required, OEM experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, coaching & leadership skills are required
  • High level of professionalism and ability to interact calmly while under pressure
  • Agile and adaptable to the changing demands of the industry
  • Customer and employee centric
  • Valid driver's license is required
