Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated OAM Software Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) software within high-performance network systems. You’ll contribute to the full software lifecycle, from planning and automation to deployment, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Automate Everything: Design and enhance robust test automation in a high-speed Linux-based environment using Python and TCL.
  • Troubleshoot Like a Detective: Dig into flaky tests, inconsistent results, and cross-platform issues—and fix them.
  • Cut the Noise: Analyze our test portfolio and eliminate redundancy.
  • See the Full Pipeline: Get hands-on experience with the full software lifecycle—from first build to final deployment.
  • Test New Frontiers: Contribute to test planning and validation of new OAM features, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Work directly with service provider routers (7250/7750/7950) and data center routers (7730/7250), contributing to the testing of high-performance platforms deployed in real-world networking environments.

Key Skills And Experience

What You Bring to the Table

You are a highly skilled, detail-oriented engineer with a strong passion for software quality, a deep understanding of the development lifecycle, and a proactive approach to ownership and continuous improvement. You’re curious by nature, eager to learn new technologies, and comfortable exploring complex systems to understand them thoroughly. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and thrive in both independent and collaborative environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong programming skills and the confidence to adapt to new languages and tools fast.
  • Natural curiosity to reverse-engineer, probe, and pressure-test every corner of a system.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, debugging, and thinking two steps ahead.
  • Working knowledge of core computing hardware architectures and Linux systems.
  • Familiar with Git, source control workflows, and real-world software project development.
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to work solo or sync with a team.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Be part of the team building tomorrow’s network infrastructure, at scale.
  • Learn more in six months here than in two years anywhere else.
