Service Representative (SaskTel Stores- Incented Sales Rep)

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Number of Positions: 1

Salary: $27.42/hour (Base salary plus an opportunity to earn a yearly incentive commission of up to $6,944)

Type of Position: Perm Part Time

Position Overview

Represents the Corporation in sales incented face-to-face residential and business customer contacts. Provides an exceptional customer experience, representing customers’ best interests. Determines customers’ needs and requirements, recommends solutions, and finalizes the sale of products and/or services. Completes internal work and procedures to ensure the customer’s experience is positive.

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

(Not all inclusive or applicable to all assignments)

  • Persuasively promotes the sale of products and/or services on an initiated and/or demand basis in a competitive environment in order to meet sales targets.
  • Determines customer needs and recommends solutions to the customer, utilizing support personnel as required.
  • Handles device hardware and accessory setup, reviews customer contracts, and educates/informs customers about their services.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of SaskTel’s products, services, systems, and pricing options.
  • Handles all customer inquires/complaints and resolves issues in a timely, professional manner in order to meet customer service and productivity targets, and positively contributes to customer survey results.
  • Arranges customer security deposits, and handles cash and payments. Reconciles monies associated with daily sales and bill payments. Prepares bank deposits.
  • Captures customer requirements, reviews customer request work orders for accuracy, and adjusts/corrects errors and/or omissions on customer accounts.
  • Participates in sales campaigns and retention activities on an initiated and/or demand basis.
  • Maintains related reports.
  • Deals with customers for the purpose of retail sales, product returns and repairs, trade shows, equipment demonstrations, organizing product displays, and may be required to attend customer premises.
  • Monitors/administers stock inventory for products available through the retail outlet.
  • Assists other internal departments as required.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of techniques needed to persuasively promote the sale of products and/or services, typically gained through 2 years experience in a sales role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence, persuade, and deal effectively with others.
  • Working knowledge of SaskTel’s products and services.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to plan and organize in a self-directed and public environment.
  • Ability to work under continual pressure, and adapt to a constantly changing work environment.
  • Keyboarding skills 20 WPM.
  • Successful completion of prescribed training courses.

  • Our online test is administered through our testing company called ESkills. This is a multiple choice test that is used to measure your sales ability and customer service skills. Please take note that some sections are timed.
  • You will be contacted via email or phone to discuss the result of your testing.
  • If you pass the online test, you may be invited in for an interview depending on how many candidates pass the initial testing.
  • During the interview you will be asked to complete a face to face sales simulation with the hiring managers. More details will be provided to you about this step of the process.
  • Recent, workplace supervisory references will be a requirement before coming to an interview so please have references available for us to contact.

This is an on-site position located at the location(s) above. The successful candidate must be located within the province of Saskatchewan. Out of province/country candidates must be willing to relocate. Flexible work opportunities, in province, may be available.
