Job summary

Uptime Industrial is seeking a skilled Service Millwright to travel to diverse customer sites across North America for planned maintenance and emergencies. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, ensuring excellent customer communication and efficient problem resolution.

Responsibilities include managing installations end-to-end, coordinating with third-party vendors, and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Reporting to the Service Manager, Mechanical, the Service Millwright duties will range from planned work order execution to troubleshooting and repairs. You will be responsible for diagnosing and ensuring client concerns are resolved in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Travel to a variety of customer sites in different industries to execute planned maintenance and/or respond to emergency service calls, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair (or schedule for repair);
  • Maintain the highest possible standard in all customer communication setting expectations and managing the customer experience throughout;
  • Manage larger installations from beginning to end (i.e. start-up and commissioning, pre-start-up inspections, equipment turnover);
  • Partner with, and/or manage third party vendors, subcontractors, and consultants;
  • Safely perform and diagnose preventative maintenance work in an efficient method to minimize machine downtime.

Our Must Haves
  • Successfully obtained your Red Seal Millwright certification;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract;
  • Committed to customer service and going the extra mile while servicing clients;
  • Ability to think on your feet and utilize strong problem-solving capabilities;
  • Experience working in forestry, mining, or natural resources industries will be considered an asset.

At Uptime, we also offer a very competitive compensation structure that supplements your regular income with a robust benefits package:

  • Wage: $47.00-$53.00 per hour. Please note - the listed hourly rate is dependent on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
  • Premiums: +$1.00 per hour for First Aid Level 2
  • Premiums: +$2.00 per hour for Dual Ticket (Millwright, Electrician, Refrigeration)
  • On-call: 8 hours of regular pay; minimum 4 hours of overtime if called out
