Job summary

Quantum Management Services Ltd in Calgary, AB is seeking a Service Manager to lead its HVAC service operations. The role requires guiding a team of technicians, optimizing daily service workflows, and driving customer satisfaction and profitability.

You will coach and develop staff, manage scheduling and budgets, and collaborate with management to grow the business. Gas Fitter Class B or A is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within the HVAC, heating, cooling, or mechanical services industry.
• Experience leading or supervising HVAC technicians, installers, crew members, or field service teams.
• Gas Fitter Class B or Class A would be highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC technicians and field service professionals.
• Oversee daily service operations, scheduling, staffing, and workforce planning.
• Monitor team productivity, service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational KPIs.
• Support operational budgets, labour costs, gross margins, and profitability targets.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and overall team performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with independent contractors and external service partners.
• Handle customer escalations and ensure timely, effective resolutions.
• Work closely with management and internal departments to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Create a positive, accountable team environment where employees are motivated to succeed.

What are you looking for?

• Experience leading or supervising HVAC technicians, installers, crew members, or field service teams.
• Candidates currently working as Senior Crew Leaders, Field Supervisors, Service Supervisors, or Team Leads are encouraged to apply.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and/or water heater services.
• An understanding of scheduling, productivity, labour costs, and operational performance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable.
• Someone who takes initiative, enjoys challenges, and is ready to grow professionally.

- A Gas Fitter Class B or Class A would be highly desired.
