Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrate integrity and provide a 5-Star culinary experience to guests and colleagues, embodying Shangri-La hospitality.
- Interact with colleagues as internal customers and strategic partners to deliver excellent service.
- Maintain positive relationships and a professional attitude towards guests and colleagues.
- Ensure food quality and standards are upheld during preparation for restaurant and banquet functions.
- Act as a service ambassador, meeting service expectations proactively and professionally.
- Prepare culinary items according to recipes, demonstrating thorough knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and service techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and prep areas, adhering to Food Safe, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
- Practice sustainable practices, controlling food portions and wastage.
- Participate in training initiatives and stay updated on industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and standards.
- Demonstrate teamwork, safety, communication, respect, and professionalism.
- Undertake other related responsibilities as required.
Mandatory Requirements

- Technical competency in cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation.

Other Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a luxury hotel.
- Experience with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is an asset.
- Red Seal certification or equivalent.
- Flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
