Mazzei Electric started in Nanaimo, BC in 1994. We started as a small family run company that focused on commercial service contracts. We now have a variety of multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects across the province, complemented by our service departments that offer residential and commercial service and maintenance. We are currently hiring for a Service Journeyperson Electrician in Kelowna, BC and the surrounding areas. Compensation for this role is between $36/hour to $40/hour, immediate health and dental benefits, and RRSP matching after one year. When you factor these together the total compensation is between $38.83/hour and $42.95/hour!

Responsibilities

1. Troubleshooting of all electrical components
2. Professionalism in customer service
3. Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
4. Testing and measurement with multi-meters, meggers, etc.
5. Present a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace and with our clients
6. New installation of electrical components in residential and commercial structures
7. Renovation/additions to all styles of electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
8. Instruction and leadership of apprentices
9. Punctual and reliable presence on worksites
10. Understanding of Arc Flash and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures

Qualifications

1. Service experience required
2. Experience in all other electrical fields is an asset
3. Red-Seal Journeyperson Electrician required
4. Valid Class B FSR an asset – must be willing to obtain in the future
5. Extensive knowledge of CEC
6. Basic hand tools, multi-meter, and cordless power tools
7. Valid class 5 driver’s license w/ clean abstract
8. Valid safety tickets are an asset (e.g., First Aid, Fall Pro, AWP, Confined Space, Arc Flash)
9. Basic computer skills
10. Willingness to work out of town, on call, longer shifts, and/or evening/night shifts
